LTS Poster Printing Service

Poster Submission Instructions

  1. For best results, we recommend that you submit your poster in its native format.  The only exception to this is for a file created in Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop, in which case you should submit it as a .pdf. Place a copy of your poster to the following directory on the W: drive (\\cass1.uwec.edu\deptdir): W:\ lts\Plot\Incoming\.   Please include your name or username in the filename if possible.

  1. Fill out the poster request form  to submit your poster request.  A poster administrator will print a small draft of your poster (if adequate time is available) and will inform you via email when it is ready for you to review.

  1. If necessary, you will be able to fix any mistakes and request additional drafts to be printed before printing your final poster.  (DO NOT SUBMIT A SECOND REQUEST FOR THE SAME POSTER.  Rather, follow the directions in the email you received notifying you of the draft.)

  1. Once you are satisfied with your draft, you will request your final poster to be printed by following the instructions you will receive via email.  After requesting your final draft, you will not be able to make additional changes to your poster.  Due to the high cost of plotter supplies and the time required to fulfill poster requests, we cannot re-print final posters due to author mistakes, except in exceptional cases.  So please be sure that you have thoroughly proof-read your poster content before requesting your final poster.

  1. You will be informed via email when your final poster is available for pick-up in Phillips Hall or Old Library.  CAUTION: The ink easily smudges within 24 hours of printing your poster.  Please allow adequate time for the ink to dry (1 hr minimum) before attempting to move your poster, and avoid touching the ink or rubbing the poster against surfaces.

NOTE: In order to ensure that adequate plotter supplies (e.g. ink and paper) are available, poster requests should be submitted AT LEAST one week in advance of the date in which the request is needed by.
